UK – SAUDIA ARABIA – Narrow Aisle, the UK producer of the Flexi fork lift truck range, maintains a presence in the Middle East and John Maguire, the company's Commercial Director is shown here looking particularly pleased with himself after hearing of the latest order for the company. International sales now account for some 40% of Narrow Aisle's business and now Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health has just added another 30 Flexis to its fleet of articulated forklift trucks.

With its head offices in Riyadh, the KSA Ministry of Health has overall responsibility for planning and delivering healthcare services across Saudi Arabia and the additional trucks will be used to improve handling and storage efficiency at a number of new medical products distribution centres operated by the Ministry. Dubai-based Damien Murray, Narrow Aisle’s business development manager for the Middle East and Africa, commented:

“Narrow Aisle has a long-standing track record of supplying Flexi-based handling solutions throughout the Middle East and Africa. Flexi trucks are increasingly popular across the region due to their robust design and space-saving capability.”

With the cost of warehousing at a premium just about everywhere more companies are following a policy of high rack storage, and the footprint of such systems can be greatly reduced by tightening up the aisle widths, natural territory for articulated trucks. Flexi trucks are distributed in over 60 countries worldwide with after-sales support provided by Narrow Aisle’s network of global business partners, and deliveries are expected to more than double over the next five years. John Maguire commented:

”We have always been an internationally-focused company that provides innovative warehouse truck-based storage systems to the intralogistics industry. We are a manufacturing company with great products and this is reflected in the growing number of overseas warehouse operators who are investing in our cost-effective advanced storage technology.”
