Heavy Lift and Break Bulk Shipping Line Appoints Representative

Meanwhile Westbound Round the World Service for Project Cargo Remains Flexible

GERMANY – BRAZIL – US – Rickmers-Linie, the Hamburg-based line specialising in break-bulk, heavy-lift and project cargo launched its Westbound Round-The-World ocean freight service in March 2013, connecting areas of economic growth in Asia and South America and then on to North America. Now the German outfit has appointed an owner’s representative in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mr Celso H B Pavao who will assume his duties immediately.

Mr Pavao, as official Owner’s Representative – South America, will be based in Sao Paulo with the intention of coordinating and meet the needs of the line working with its sales liaison agent Wilson Sons Agência Marítima Ltda. Robert Sappio, President of Rickmers-Linie Americas, speaking from his base in Houston, Texas, commented:

“We are extremely happy to have Mr Pavao join our team in South America. He brings a wealth of industry experience and local market expertise to Rickmers-Linie. As we grow our business in this important market Mr Pavao, along with Wilson Sons, will be a valuable resource to our customers and to our worldwide Rickmers-Linie organisation.”

Rickmers says the monthly Westbound Round-The-World service remains flexible calling at various ports as needs demand such as: Yokohama, Masan, Shanghai, Xingang, Singapore, Cape Town, Buenos Aires, Santos, Rio de Janeiro and Vitoria.
