UK – WORLDWIDE – As Brexit looms ever closer comes an opportunity for anyone whose daily grind includes forming a link in the supply chain to have their say, and perhaps even influence the future of logistics. For the third consecutive year the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) has teamed up with US based technology research and advisory group, Gartner, in a collaboration which intends to discover and examine the latest trends and challenges facing the supply chain sector, from manufacturer through the world of freight and transport, to end user.

For 10 years, Gartner has surveyed supply chain professionals about their technology wants and needs to understand better their IT strategies, investments and supply chain maturity. Understanding how various supply chain organisations respond to challenges provides valuable insight into why some companies thrive and others struggle. CILT is now calling for all leading supply chain professionals and organisations to access the survey and play their part in shaping the future of the supply chain sector.

The questions are fairly in depth and the survey takes around 15 – 20 minutes to complete, but those who stay the course will be rewarded with the opportunity to download an industry leading Gartner research report. Questions look at numerous influences on the behaviour of individual operations, from which sector one operates in, through how one derives future supply chain management strategies, how you feel you compare with rivals taking into account your relative revenue, market position etc., what obstacles you face, and so on.
