UK – Any Transport Manager worth his salt may want to take note that in order to stay abreast of changes in legislation and the current state of the shipping industry as it affects British freight carriers the dates for this years series of seminar’s, organised by the Freight Transport Association (FTA), have just been released.
The seminars contain information of use and interest to anyone controlling freight traffic movements and, sponsored by truck manufacturer Iveco, they will run from September through to December and with eleven venues spread across the length and breadth of the country there is no excuse not to attend.
Described by the FTA as a series of ‘must attend’ events the seminars give an in depth insight into transport issues affecting operators, with expert advice from leading industry speakers, including VOSA and local Traffic Commissioners. Under the title ‘Transport Manager 2010’ the itinerary covers items such as the impact of the recession on operator practices, VOSA testing and roadside enforcement developments, traffic incident management,effective management of drivers plus key transport developments expected in 2011 with interactive learning sessions covering key questions and decisions in road transport law.
