GERMANY – French freight group Bolloré Logistics has announced the opening of a dedicated aerospace warehouse in the city of Hamburg. The new aerospace hub is located next to the port of Hamburg and a few kilometres from the production sites of the major aircraft manufacturers and OEM suppliers. With direct access to the motorway network, parts can be transported in 5 to 10 minutes to the foot of the production lines.

The state-to-the-art facility was built in 2018 in accordance with the international environmental standards. This Hamburg warehouse has reached a high point for security with a set of 32 surveillance cameras plus an Access Control System to protect against unauthorised access at any of the entrance points further covered by a sophisticated intrusion detection system.

This second group development in Hamburg has an area of 7,000 square metres. It creates an additional link within the Bolloré Logistics' global Aerospace network and complements a network already in place, with a company presence in the strategic European cities, with modern facilities all located close to airport, maritime infrastructures and aerospace production plants.

In Europe, the new infrastructure reinforces a network already well established thanks to its aerospace hubs of Toulouse, Marseille, Paris, London Heathrow, Amsterdam, Rome, and Madrid. Bolloré Logistics' global Aerospace network has now 1,200 staff in 100 countries around the world with 24 sites supplying 150,000 square metres of total storage area.
