Freight Forwarding Outfit Makes Two New Logistics Acquisitions

GERMANY – Toll Global Forwarding, a division international of freight and logistics firm Toll Group, has expanded its presence in Germany by establishing two new freight forwarding branches in the cities of Munich and Nuremberg. Uwe Jacobsen, Country Manager for Germany, Toll Global Forwarding, said:

“The Munich and Nuremberg branches have the potential to further grow the business, especially in the automotive, electronics, fashion and machinery sectors. I am pleased to increase our presence in the Free State of Bavaria and this demonstrates our continuous commitment to improve service coverage for our customers in this region.”

According to the Group, which is now owned by Japan Post, the new branches will offer a more comprehensive network of international freight forwarding, and advanced supply chain management services, across Toll’s global network operating throughout Europe as well as Asia, North America, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.

The two new sites will expand on those already in Germany – with existing branches in Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover and Stuttgart. The Munich branch office is officially open, while Nuremberg will follow at the end of this month.
