SLOVENIA – It seems Kuehne + Nagel is determined to stay in the forefront of pharmaceutical distribution with the opening of another dedicated pharma & healthcare warehouse, one of the largest within its global K+N PharmaChain network. The freight forwarding and logistics group has taken a strategically located new facility in Brnik, close to Ljubljana Airport.

The new operation will distribute finished products worldwide and will be used for the storage and distribution of production materials for the pharmaceutical industry. The facility provides an area of approximately 38,000 m2 giving a capacity of about 65,000 pallet locations for reception, storage and distribution of temperature-sensitive products and includes three cold chambers to handle temperature requirements of 15 to 25°C and 2 to 8°C.

K+N is closing in on a total of 200 certified global operations offering 600,000 m2 of space in total, and the latest investment means a strengthened presence in the local Slovenian market.
