UK – BELGIUM – SPAIN – CHINA - WORLDWIDE - Following the undoubted success of this year’s Multimodal Exhibition held in Birmingham last month freight and logistics trade industry shows seem to be back in fashion. At a time when budgets are restricted it seems the need to step out and advertise plus explore the chance to network with both potential and existing clients has become more, rather than less, important. Next week the great and the good of the shipping world will gather in Antwerp for the Break Bulk Europe event which runs between May 13 -16 and next month freight forwarders will have a chance to explore the Chinese markets.

Attendees at the Antwerp event will have the chance to register for courses on project cargo management, receive instruction on a heavy lift master class or undergo three days of intensive lessons on how to effectively plan and manage Capital Project Logistics from initial assessment, pre-planning and implementation through to execution, delivery and on-going support.

Barcelona will be the scene in June (20-23) for the Sino-European Freight Forwarders Conference 2013 jointly organised by the WCA Family of Logistic Networks and the China International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFA). Many serious players in the Chinese forwarding market plan to attend and the organisers’ claim that during the four days over 15,000 meetings will take place resulting in new deals worth millions of dollars.

Sponsored by the Port of Barcelona and with independent freight forwarders from Europe, Africa, Latin America and beyond taking part alongside representatives from ports, airports and shippers for many it will provide an opportunity to forge links with serious players in the Chinese logistics community.
