Shipping News Feature

UK – With over a million people expected to descend on London during next summer’s Olympic Games the UK’s Freight Transport Association is holding a conference so that the logistics sector can plan how to minimise disruption to their business and the capital’s supply chain.

To take place on the 11th of May the conference - ‘Managing Deliveries and servicing during the Olympic Games’- will feature presentations by the Olympic Delivery Authority, Transport for London, the Metropolitan Police, the Noise Abatement Society and Olympic sponsor UPS and is designed for fleet operators and transport managers needing to make deliveries in London during the run-up to, and during, the Games themselves.

Amongst the subjects to be covered will be traffic management and parking arrangements, night time delivery options and the Olympic Route Network.

Anyone interested in attending the conference can find booking details HERE.
