Freight and Logistics Group Expands Operations

US Based Company Grows Further in Europe

SPAIN – Third party logistic specialist OIA has announced the opening of an office in Barcelona, the twentieth European facility for the US headquartered company which began life in 1988 as Oregon International Air Freight. OIA report the decision to open the new office was driven by demand from several existing multi-national customers and the fact that the Spanish economy has experienced significant recovery since the 2008-09 recession, growing for ten straight quarters.

The company also points out that, according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Spain is in the process of implementing innovative regulatory reform and this latest move adds to OIAs traditional strong bases in the northern, western and central European areas, with David Ower, Managing Director of Europe commenting:

“When our clients target a geographic market for expansion, we’re always there to support them. Each market is unique, and our team of logistics professionals in Barcelona are there to ensure that our customers have the same seamless experience in Spain as they enjoy in all other markets.”
