UK – Management and staff at the John Good Group, established in 1833 and in which the Good family still maintains control as majority shareholders, were delighted by the news it has been included in the shortlist for both the Yorkshire Family Business of the Year and the Transport & Logistics Family Business of the Year Award 2015. John Good, which operates in the Shipping & Logistics, Warehousing & Distribution and Corporate & Leisure Travel sectors is also in line for further honours.

The two awards will see winners selected by a judging panel based on a number of criteria irrelevant of size of the nominees. For the John Good Group, this signifies a great period in the company’s history having recently moved into a brand new, bespoke head office in Hull. This latest accolade comes on the back of two top 100 growth awards in the UK and Yorkshire region in 2014. There is also an additional award, The People’s Choice Award, whereby voting is conducted online HERE. Managing Director, Alan Platt commented:

“The Company continues to place a strong emphasis on family values and our inclusion in the shortlist shows recognition of our success and our ability to promote the business and our family name. The John Good Group still has both fifth and sixth generation involvement in the business as we continue our rapid expansion plans for the company to ensure it stays here for another six generations.”

The winners of the People’s Choice Awards will be presented with their awards at a gala reception taking place at The May Fair Hotel in London on June 11. To find out more and book tickets click HERE.
