TURKEY – A European member of the Global Charter Alliance which launched earlier this year has opened a new office in Istanbul to provide a local sales and customer contact point covering Turkey and Central Asia and will be led by an experienced boss well versed in the ways of the local air cargo and freight forwarding. NEO Air Charter will also provide flight supervision for any company charters originating or terminating in the region, and will handle relations with local charter airlines.

Whilst chartering, flight planning and administration will be handled through NEO’s German headquarters the new Istanbul office, located on the Asian side of the multi-cultural city will be headed up by Mrs. Ahu Ozturk, an MBA graduate who has previously held a variety of industry posts in a fourteen year career which has included a stint as Project Manager for freighter operator ULS (formerly Kuzu) Airlines. She reports to NEO Joint MD Adnan Duran, who commented:

“Turkey is a stable and fast-growing market, underpinned by strong GDP growth. It is also at the crossroads between east and west, and will become an important hub for the NEO Network throughout the whole of Central Asia and Middle East in the coming few years. We are very excited about the prospects for our new operation, and delighted to have Ahu’s high profile, experience and contacts at our disposal.”
