Dutch Cable Provider Awards TDG Logistics Contract

NETHERLANDS - UPC Nederland, one of the largest telecoms and televison cable operators in the Netherlands, has recently signed a four year contract with logistics specialist TDG BV to manage their complete supply chain. The deal also includes an additional rolling four-year option.

UPC will outsource all of their warehousing and distribution activities to TDG in the anticipation that they this will offer greater cost effectiveness to their customers through the use of TDG’s shared facilities.

This confidence was summed up by said Diederik Karsten, CEO of UPC Nederland, who said: “UPC chose TDG primarily because of their vast experience and innovative supply chain solutions.”

TDG will manage the entire supply chain for UPC, from full warehousing services including kitting and order handling, through both inbound and reverse logistics, to returns handling, product sorting and customer deliveries.

Tijmen Muijs, TDG BV’s Managing Director, added: “We have a robust structure at TDG that allows us to focus on the customer’s total value chain, which is exactly what UPC needed.”
