SINGAPORE – SWEDEN – More cold chain logistics news this week as specialist air cargo container provider Envirotainer announces it has expanded its operation with the provision of repair and maintenance services at its Singapore service station. The Singapore facility is the second, after Atlanta, to open as a fully Envirotainer owned station, ensuring that the increasingly high demands of the life science market are met with the high quality standards required. Envirotainer already has a global service network with contracted suppliers at more than fifty airports to serve the needs of shipping operators in an increasingly specialised freight sector.
The service station will also act as a future Envirotainer Competence Centre, where gathering of best practices and testing of new concepts will be realised, close to Envirotainer's Operations Centre based in Singapore. The company will further open up two additional stations based in Amsterdam and Vienna over the next six months. Staffan Ingfors, Head of Global Service Network at Envirotainer, said:
“I am very pleased about the launch of our own Singapore service station. To provide this full service location in Asia with handling, repair and maintenance for all our container types will be another important step on Envirotainer’s journey to bring the Active Cold Chain to where our customers need us to be.”
