SPAIN – DENMARK – WESTERN EUROPE – NordiKmaritime, a Spanish headquartered coastal freight company which currently offers a fortnightly general cargo shipping service from Bilbao to Ejsberg using flexible single hold vessels of about 4,000 dwt and under 100 metres overall, is to take advantage of opportunities along its route along the coast of Western Europe up to Scandinavia by offering port inducement calls for suitable project cargoes and heavy and out-of-gauge items.

The company says the existing route centres around regular, securely based cargo which offers the opportunity to fit extra calls on each voyage besides all manner of project and break bulk cargoes which it already attracts between the two ports currently served. NordiKmaritime says that calls to ports such as Nantes, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Tilbury, Bremen and Hamburg, as well as to other Baltic and North Sea destinations, can all be made with minimal deviation, disruption to the existing shipping schedule and very competitive rates.

All transhipments are handled directly by the company’s staff and the service is also able to offer a feeder operation for those oversized break bulk cargoes leaving Bilbao for transhipment and on-carriage to other continents via the major hub ports of Northern Europe.
