Chinese Take Over Manchester Freight Forwarding Company

UK – CHINA – Chinese third party logistics (3PL) and supply chain provider Globelink China Logistics has only been established for twelve years but pursuing it’s aggressive investment strategy it has now acquired Manchester based freight forwarder CBI Global Freight Management. The group are reportedly to be seeking suitable property for expansion into London having taken residence at the World Freight Terminal at Manchester Airport.

CBI, who currently operate from the Mirwell Business Centre in Sale, will henceforth be part of Globelink subsidiary UNI Logistics which operates from over thirty locations in China and has agencies in Europe, the US, India, the Middle East as well as elsewhere in Asia. The two companies have cooperated for about five years and the acquisition was widely anticipated.
