UK – CEVA Logistics has been awarded a three-year contract to provide a white glove two-person home delivery service to Multiyork, manufacturer and retailer of high quality upholstery and cabinet furniture.

CEVA will now be responsible for the daily transfer of manufactured items from Multiyork’s factory in Thetford, Norfolk, to a dedicated warehouse in Suffolk before contacting customers to arrange a convenient delivery date.

The projected 16,000 home deliveries per annum will be performed by a combination of CEVA’s shared user home delivery network, CEVA Home and six dedicated delivery vehicles.

The company’s ‘white glove’ delivery service includes placing the furniture items in the customer’s room of choice, disassembly and assembly if required, and the removal and recycling of any packaging from the customer’s home.

Mark Duff, Manufacturing and Logistics Director, Multiyork commented: “As part of the tender process, we visited some of CEVA’s home delivery operations and were impressed with the attention to detail and efficiency of their operations.

“CEVA demonstrated their ability to provide the highest levels of delivery service and customer care that Multiyork’s products and customers demand. Working with a supply chain specialist has allowed us to focus more directly on the manufacture and retail of high quality furniture.”

Andy Fitt, Senior Vice President, Contract Logistics, UK & Ireland, CEVA said: “We are delighted that Multiyork selected CEVA as their logistics partner.”
