THE NETHERLANDS – Freight group Kerry Logistics has appointed Martin Stoekenbroek as its new Managing Director - Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), effective immediately. Based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Stoekenbroek will lead Kerry Logistics’ international freight forwarding business in the EMEA region and be in charge of its strategic development, focusing particularly on strengthening Kerry Logistics’ foothold and business portfolio.

Stoekenbroek joins Kerry Logistics from Geodis where he most recently served as Senior Vice of Global Air Freight, and brings with him over 30 years of experience in the industry.

UK – Wincanton has announced Adrian Colman, Chief Executive, has formally notified the Board of his intention to retire. He will therefore step down from the Board later this year. James Wroath, currently Chief Operating Officer, North America for LSG Sky Chefs, has been named to succeed Colman.

Wroath is expected to join Wincanton no later than the end of October. In order to effect an orderly handover, Colman will remain as Chief Executive and Board Director until that time.

UK – The LOC Group has announced the appointment of Paul Walton as the Technical Director of Shipping for the London office. Walton is returning to LOC London after serving as a Director of the Group’s Hong Kong office. He has been with LOC for eight years, joining the Group in 2010 as a Master Mariner.

UK – Palletline has announced the appointment of Paul Elson as Managing Director of Palletline Logistics, effective since May 1. During the last four years Palletline has acquired four transport businesses, S&S Distribution, Mike Watson Transport, ABE Ledbury and Fast Forward Distribution which, together with Palletline London, forms Palletline Logistics a fully owned subsidiary of Palletline.

SWITZERLAND – At the recent AGM of Panalpina, and in light of the recent public exchange offer submitted by DSV, Thomas Kern, a Swiss national and a member of the Board of Directors since 2015, was elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He succeeds Peter Ulber, who announced in 2018 that he would not stand for re-election.

All other board members were re-elected for another one-year term of office

MEXICO – Luz Elena Jurado has been appointed Managing Director for Volvo Trucks Mexico and Mack Trucks Mexico, effective immediately. She succeeds Martin Sáenz, who will return to his previous position as CFO of Volvo Trucks Mexico and Mack Trucks Mexico.

Since 2010, Jurado has been Managing Director for Volvo Financial Services and Mack Financial Services in Mexico.

US – Celadon Group has announced title changes for certain executive officers. Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Strategy Officer, Thom Albrecht will become Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer.

Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, Vincent Donargo will become Executive Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, and Chief Financial Officer. Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, Kathryn Wouters has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasurer.

US – Sea Machines Robotics, a Boston-based developer of autonomous vessel technology, has announced Don Black as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, reporting to Founder and CEO Michael Johnson, effective immediately.

CANADA – Logistec Corporation has announced James Cherry as its new Chair of its Board of Directors. An independent director of Logistec since 2011, he has been a member of its Audit Committee since 2012, and thereafter its Chair since 2014. He has also been a member of its Pension Committee and its Governance and Human Resources Committee.

THAILAND – Dachser has announced that Jan-Michael Beyer has been appointed Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Thailand. In his new role, he reports to Edoardo Podesta, Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Asia Pacific. Prior to his latest appointment, Beyer was Country Manager for Thailand, and Head of Sales Air & Sea Logistics Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia.
