DUBAI - Barloworld Logistics Middle East & Asia has signed a memorandum of agreement with Hexomatrixx, reinforcing the company’s position as its official logistics partner for Dubai and the rest of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

Hexomatrixx, a supply-chain provider that specialises in the oil and gas industries, had originally signed contracts with Dubai-based logistics provider Swift Freight in 2007. Barloworld’s subsequent takeover of Swift meant that they inherited the work and have proven so successful in the role that the new extension deal is now described as “a strategic alliance in providing 3PL and supply chain management service to its clients in the oil and gas sector.”

By using Barloworld Logistics state-of-the-art warehouses in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai, Hexomatrixx hopes to radically improve on the customer base for its services.

“The location of the warehouses enables us to offer clients cross-border business – soon, this alliance will allow us to cover more of India and, hopefully, other parts of Asia,” said Raghu Menon, MD & COO for Hexomatrixx.

Franklin Fernandes, Logistics Manager-Dubai for Barloworld Logistics Middle East & Asia, added that: “We are looking forward to more years of doing good business with Hexomatrixx. We are glad they chose to renew the partnership with us. We hope our commitment to clients, such as Hexomatrixx will open more doors of opportunities for us in the O&G sector.”
