AUSTRALIA – For what many consider to be the most important event in the Australian road haulage calendar, the offer to save A$250 for early booking, plus a chance to win the cost of entry back, will end for truck operators on the 23rd December. The 2012 Australian Trucking Convention will be held from 16-19 May 2012 at the Rosehill Gardens Event Centre, Sydney and organisers the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) promise the 2012 convention will address all the big issues facing trucking in the country.

The convention offers the opportunity to gather information on new trucks and trailers plus innovations both in terms of equipment and business matters whilst giving the chance to circulate amongst the hundreds of senior executives from leading road freight businesses. Additionally there will of course be social events including the Hino Australia Golf Day at the beautiful St Michael’s course, Volvo’s Night at the Races and the ATA Foundation Sponsors Gala Awards Dinner.

Conference speakers will include international safety leader Don Osterberg, the Senior Vice President of Safety, Security and Driver Training at Schneider National in America, economic forecaster Chris Richardson from Deloitte Access Economics who will brief delegates on the industry’s business outlook plus corporate adviser Brendan Richards from Ferrier Hodgson who will provide expert advice on how trucking businesses can manage the changes in the industry to come whilst Gary Hodge from the Pacific Institute will discuss with delegates the tools they can use to improve their business performance.
