UK / IRELAND - Not ones to miss a trick, Irish Ferries has asked us to print the following statement:

"Irish Ferries confirms that all UK-Ireland sailings are operating normally.

"Tickets for travel between Holyhead and Dublin and between Pembroke and Rosslare (and vice versa) are available and the ferry company reports increased phone calls and website hits as stranded air passengers re-arrange travel.

"Irish Ferries’ services accept foot passengers as well as motor vehicles. Services between Ireland and France are also operating normally."
