Appointments (and Departures) in the World of Shipping and Logistics

SINGAPORE – The World Shipping Council (WSC) has announced Tim Wickmann as its new Managing Director, Asia. Wickmann served most recently as CEO of MCC Transport, the intra-Asia arm of Maersk Line, and has worked in various leadership positions in international liner shipping for the last three decades. He will be based at the WSC Asian office which will be located in Singapore. 

POLAND – Ceva Logistics has appointed Guillaume Sauzedde as Managing Director of its Central & Eastern Europe cluster. He will be based in Warsaw, Poland and takes up his position on November 5, reporting directly to CEO, Xavier Urbain.

Sauzedde brings more than 20 years' experience across the logistics industry to his new role - fifteen of which have been spent in Eastern Europe. Prior to joining Ceva Logistics, he was Managing Director for Kuehne & Nagel in Poland where he had full responsibility across all business lines including Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Ground and Contract Logistics.

He succeeds Piotr Zborowski who is leaving CEVA to pursue other career opportunities.

UK – Wincanton has appointed James Hurrell as Director for Grocery. With customers including ASDA, The Cooperative Group, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose, Wincanton’s grocery team helps retailers meet growing consumer expectations through the provision of transport, warehousing and specialist consultancy services.

UK – ABP has announced the appointment of Port Manager, Stuart Cresswell as a new Director of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce (SCC).

UK – Suzy Wardle has been appointed Head of Digital and Distribution at Virgin Atlantic Cargo, based at Virgin Atlantic’s headquarters near London Gatwick Airport. Wardle has held a number of positions with the company over the last 5 years, most recently as Chief Product Owner across all passenger-facing digital channels.

UK – CML has announced the appointment of David Fowler as its new Business Development Manager.

UK – Walker Logistics has appointed Ian Langdown to the position of Senior Operations Manager, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role having previously held senior positions with Kuehne & Nagel and Meacher's Logistics.

US – Bombardier has announced the appointment of Sam Abdelmalek as Chief Transformation and Supply Chain Officer, effective since October 10. He will report directly to Alain Bellemare, President and Chief Executive Officer, Bombardier.

US – MonarchFx, has announced Jeffrey Godwin as our Senior Vice President of Product Development and Deployment. Godwin joins MonarchFx with more than 20 years of supply chain management, distribution, and transportation experience. 

US – Navistar International has named Kevin Sheehan to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. He replaces Daniel Ninivaggi who resigned from the Board after more than a year of service. Sheehan has been appointed to the Board's Audit and Compensation committees.
