INDIA – Air and ocean freight and logistics providers Logwin has announced the opening of its new sales office in Ahmedabad, India. The company hopes that the new office will help expand its business in the textile sector by providing a range of freight and logistics services for local and international shippers. There is also the opportunity for Logwin to deliver logistics services to meet growing consumer demand for imported high-value goods and the company also aiming to secure new business in the machinery, pharmaceuticals and chemicals sector. Vijay Nair, Country Director of Logwin in India said:

The new Logwin sales office, in the state of Gujarat, is managed by Anup Ramdas, Branch Manager of Mumbai and western India, which also includes Pune and someone who has many years of experience in management and in the freight and logistics sector in India. Ahmedabad was ranked as the third fastest growing city in the world in 2010 by Forbes magazine and Gujarat, with a population of 60 million people, has some of the largest businesses in India. Major industries include textiles, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, cement, oil refineries and chemicals.
