BRAZIL – UK - British/Canadian freight forwarder Bellville Rodair International (BRI) has decided to open its own office at Porto Alegre, in the state of Rio Grande Do Sul which the company says shows its commitment to the developing Brazilian cargo market. Terry Walpole the BRI Chairman confirmed the latest addition to the groups twenty plus offices saying:

“It’s official and we are 100% up and running in our own BRI Brazil office. The team are working hard and have all the necessary registrations and means of communication in place. They have already completed their first job, an export shipment of 16 containers from Brazil to Canada so things are going well.

“It was important for us to do this given that we have been involved in the Brazilian market for some years. The new office shows our support for the client base we already have there. It’s also an acknowledgment of Brazil’s role in the world economy. It was just the next obvious step in our expansion plan and opens up so many opportunities for us throughout the Americas for the import and export of cargo, whether that is by air or by sea.”

The London headquartered agent is a general forwarder operating three specialist divisions, BRI Energy, BRI and BRI Automotive.
