UK - The restrictions on flights from and to British airports have now been rescinded. The UK authorities have decided that the danger from ash is now reduced enough to allow operations to resume.

The position of ash clouds is to be monitiored to allow aircraft to avoid the worst.

The decision comes after aero engine manufacturers said that the level of ash did not present a danger to aircraft.

However, normal service is expected to take some time to be restored.
