FRANCE – A union official has stated that Air France intends to shift the bulk of its freight operations onto its subsidiary Martinair, the low-cost Dutch carrier.
In an interview with AFP Pascal Zadikian, a labour representative on Air France’s board, stated that the company had agreed the plan on September 4 and now “we can imagine that in two or three years, they will have transferred the (freight) operations.”
Though Air France said in a statement on the 4th of September that they planned to restructure their freight operations they have made no official confirmation that the restructuring will take this form.
