UK / CHINA / SPAIN / – Southampton-based boat transportation specialists, Peters & May, have been contracted to transport the China Team's new America's Cup Catamaran 45 from Auckland to Valencia for the first event of the 34th America's Cup.
Once the catamaran is delivered in July the crack Chinese crew will spend several weeks training before the start of the World Series in August at Cascais, Portugal.
This is only the second time that China has entered a team in the Americas Cup, the oldest sporting trophy in the world.
In a statement Peters & May said they were “very proud” to handle the transportation for the China Team’s boat.
