WORLDWIDE – NORWAY – The World Shipping Council (WSC) has announced that Anna Larsson has joined WSC as its new Communications Director, based in Europe. Larsson served most recently as Head of Corporate Communications for Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

Additionally, Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s CEO Craig Jasienski has taken a seat among the WSC’s Board of Directors.

UK – Neil Walker has been named as the Managing Director of Unipart Rail and Unipart Manufacturing Group.

UK – Dave Matthews has been named as the new Head of Sales, Marine Bunkers & Lubricants in Island Oil Trading (UK) Limited.

UK – Sam Ryall has been appointed to the position of Key Account Manager, System Integrators at Schoeller Allibert.

UK – FRANCE – Sharon Flood has been named to the Getlink Board of Directors. She will replace Philippe Vasseur, who has agreed to terminate his mandate early after twelve years on the Board.

GERMANY – DUBAI – V.Group has announced the appointment of Ulla Eithz Nielsen as Managing Director for V.Ships Germany. Based in Hamburg, Nielsen joined V.Group in 2019 and previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer of Operational Excellence.

She began her maritime career as a deck officer with A.P Møller and has experience in operational transformation as well as dry bulk and container vessel expertise gained with A.P Møller, Maersk Line, NORDEN and Norient Product Pool.

Also based in Hamburg, Loris Di Maio, previously Programme Manager, Operational Excellence, will now take on the role of Head of Operational Excellence.

International Tanker Management (ITM) has announced the appointment of Chris Kirton as Managing Director of its Dubai office. Kirton joins ITM, a division of V.Group specialising in the management of oil and chemical tankers, from Norstar Ship Management. He takes over the role from Anil Cariappa who has recently retired.

INDIA – Adarsh Hegde, Joint Managing Director, Allcargo Logistics, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Gati-KWE which is a 70:30 joint venture between Gati and Kintetsu World Express. Hegde will report directly to Shashi Kiran Shetty, Chairman, Allcargo Logistics and Gati.

VIETNAM – Geodis has announced Simon Vandekerckove as its new Managing Director in Vietnam. He takes over from Alan Miu, the caretaker in the role for the last 18 months. Vandekerckove reports to Rene Bach-Larsen, the sub-regional Managing Director of Geodis ASEAN.

US – Union Pacific has named Rahul Jalali as the company’s Chief Information Officer, effective November 2. He will report to Lance Fritz, Union Pacific Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Union Pacific also announced Jon Panzer, who served as Interim Chief Information Officer, has been named Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning, reporting directly to Fritz.

US – Echo Global Logistics has announced the promotion Peter Rogers, Senior Vice President Finance – Controller, to the position of Chief Financial Officer. He succeeds Kyle Sauers who will leave the company to pursue other interests. Sauers will remain with Echo as a non-executive employee for a short period to ensure a smooth transition

US – Tim Nolan and Dan Gardner have been named to STG Logistics’ newly created Advisory Board. Nolan, currently serves as the President and CEO of TOTE LLC, and Gardner, who will serve as Chairman, is a veteran of the 3PL industry and previously served as SVP USA for DHL Global Forwarding, President of Latin America, also with Exel Global Logistics and President of Ocean World Lines.

US – Rajant Corporation has announced Michael Griffin, Lisa Porter, and Daniel Verwiel as Strategic Advisors.

US – BorgWarner has announced that Nelda Conners and David Haffner have been named to its Board of Directors. Connors and Mr. Haffner join BorgWarner’s Board of Directors from the Delphi Technologies Board of Directors, which BorgWarner recently acquired.
